Objectives and progress
Internal
We work continuously to ensure that our governing documents are known - and complied with both internally among our own employees, among contractors and subcontractors and among other stakeholders.
- All employees must sign annually that our Code of Conduct has been read, understood and will be complied with
- HSE policy, ethical guidelines and procedures for reporting misconduct are reviewed for all new employees
- Monthly webinars on various topics related to responsible operations and compliance with relevant legislation
- Regular publication of news and updates that are relevant to all employees via our digital interaction platform "OneVoice". Good information sharing is an important prerequisite for both well-being and expertise
- Training of managers in, among other things, conflict management and interaction
External
We have established routines to ensure that we regularly check and follow up our suppliers and subcontractors. This takes place in dialogue meetings and in internal controls. We have identified a need for even closer follow-up and dialogue to ensure that we have a common understanding and joint compliance with applicable laws and agreements. Specifically, we have identified a need to monitor compliance with the working hours provisions of the Working Environment Act, and we work closely with our partners to ensure transparency, control and compliance.
Through our "Agreement on responsible supplier behaviour ABC", a formal framework is established to ensure responsible supplier behaviour throughout the supply chain. Work on formalising this in all contracts is ongoing, and we expect to be up to date with this work by the end of 2023.
Goals for the coming year
During 2023, the purchasing function will be strengthened in several areas, among other things to ensure that we comply with applicable laws and guidelines in the area. One specific measure that is being established is a group-wide purchasing network across the companies in OneCo.
Under the auspices of our owners, we have entered into a partnership with an external company - Belief AS - which assists us in our efforts to ensure good procedures, the right organisation and compliance with applicable laws and guidelines in this area.
We are also increasing our capacity within internal audit and further developing the methodology we use. Among other things, the follow-up of due diligence will be included as an independent topic in the annual "Management review" that is carried out in the first half of the year throughout the Group, both at company and Group level.
A new feature for 2023 will be that we will also carry out internal audits of other parts of our value chain than what we traditionally do. This applies in relation to cleaning and transport. We have not previously included these industries in our internal audit programme.
Goal
- 0 breaches of applicable laws and regulations by external or internal audits.
- 100% completed internal training in the Code of Ethics
- Conduct a minimum of 20 internal audits of subcontractors and contractors
- Conduct mapping in accordance with the Transparency Act of at least 60 % of the largest suppliers where we make purchases for more than NOK 5 million annually.
