Strengthening OneCo's focus on electric power

OneCo South is experiencing strong growth in the Electrical Power segment, and as part of further expansion, Kenneth Andersen has been hired as responsible for further investment in the national Electrical Power market.

Kenneth comes from Otera Ratel AS as general manager, and has from 1 August started his everyday life in OneCo South. Kenneth is a trained energy fitter and has a bachelor's degree in electrical power engineering.

He also holds a master's degree in management, specialising in strategy and business development from NTNU, as well as experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces.

Andersen has worked both in and around Grenland - he lives in Langesund, as well as several years for ABB in Asia, where he was responsible for automation and power distribution on rigs and ships.

"OneCo has already established itself in the market as a serious player in the electrical power segment, and they have unique expertise and experience that I believe our customers and partners greatly appreciate," says Andersen.

Electric power, with a focus on projects on the regional and central grid, is one such area that will receive a stronger national focus.

The unit will be built on the basis of the market and delivery organisation that has been built up in Region South, but will also draw on the resources and deliveries represented in the other regions.

There is also potential for delivering specialised services to both existing and new customers. These include, for example, engineering services (especially within earthing systems), protection systems and protection analyses, short-circuit calculations, etc.

OneCo sees great opportunities for further growth in the electrical power segment in the future, and will in the future strengthen its deliveries with a larger staff of qualified installers, plant managers and project managers for the implementation of the projects we are about to start.

Earlier this year, OneCo acquired Enteka AB, an installation, technical and service contractor with specialist expertise in electricity transmission 22-420 kV. Enteka has certified personnel for switch testing, cable cutting and cable termination up to 420 kV.

In connection with this acquisition, Enteka is changing its name to OneCo Kraftteknikk AB.

This expertise will be an important contributor to our continued efforts in Norway, and will strengthen our expertise in, among other things, the installation of substations, cable systems and line work at all voltage levels up to 420 kV.

OneCo will continue to be a professional installation partner and project organisation with cutting-edge expertise in power plants, substations and cable systems.
